Women wing of the Chandigarh Management Association today honoured 4 war widows at a special solemn ceremony to commemorate the day on which Flt. Lt. Maheesh Trikha, made supreme sacrifice while defending the country.Martyr Flight Lieutenant Maheesh Trikha laid down his life for the country in ‘Operation Meghdoot’ while being on an operational sortie in a Cheetah Helicopter of 114 Helicopter Unit of the Indian Air Force at Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt. Col. Uma Vasudeva (Retd.), Chiarperson (Army Welfare) –CMA said that the country is proud of our Jawans who fight with resolute and valour to save the honour of the Motherland and inspired the youth present on the occasion to join armed forces, which she said is noble career.
