In the last CMA Executive meeting held on September 12, 2009, the committee decided that in the forthcoming foundation day of CMA proposed to be held in the month of November, as per earlier approved practice, three “CMA Awards” of professional excellence be given to following categories:
1) To an individual/company (Entrepreneur, Educationalist, Professional Manager) who belongs to Tricity (Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali) and through his/her contribution in the field of industry, business, trade, education, service sector, infrastructure development, has made name and fame in the Tricity and brought recognition to the businesses, organization or position he/she serves, through excellent management practices.
2) To the first generation entrepreneur who belongs to Tricity, and who has made mark with his/her own efforts and developed some innovative products or adopted professional management practices in the field of industry, business, trade, education, service sector, infrastructure development, and brought recognition to his business.
3) To the lady entrepreneur/professional manager who belongs to Tricity, and who has made mark with her own efforts and developed some innovative products or adopted professional management practices in the field of industry, business, trade, education, service sector, infrastructure development, and brought recognition to her business.

This is in pursuance to your letter dated 27/9/09 regarding the awards to be given on the foundation day of CMA. I recommend the name of Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Assistant Solicitor General of India for this award in the first category. He is a perfect mix of professional & academic excellence. He is M.A., LL.M, Ph.D. Besides holding various prestigious designations on the professional side and achieving landmarks on the academic side, he has been in the fore front of various social, legal and educational organizations; interacting with the State/Central Governments and other decision-making bodies. He was awarded the PARMAN PATRA by the Punjab Government in the year 2004 for his humble contribution to the Society. This is the highest Award given to a Civilian of the State in recognition of his services.
While being the President of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association, Chandigarh, He had organized the first ever International Legal Conference at Chandigarh; in which representatives from eleven countries participated; which was inaugurated by the President of India His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on 29th September, 2003.
